NeoGenomics Inc. reported that it has finalized a civil settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, acting on behalf of the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, resolving a government investigation tied to certain consulting services the company provided to health care providers. The matter stemmed from an internal investigation that NeoGenomics said it voluntarily conducted into whether certain consulting and service agreements complied with federal health care laws and regulations, including rules related to fraud, waste and abuse. The company previously notified OIG-HHS of that internal investigation in November 2021. Under the settlement agreement, finalized on June 20, 2026, NeoGenomics agreed to pay $9,813,260 to resolve the matter. The company noted that it had already accrued a reserve of $11.2 million as of March 31, 2026, for potential damages and liabilities associated with issues identified during the investigation, meaning the settlement amount is below the reserve previously recorded. NeoGenomics emphasized that the settlement is not an admission of liability by the company. The agreement also does not represent a concession by the United States that its claims were not well founded. The filing also included a Regulation FD disclosure stating that NeoGenomics issued a press release in connection with the settlement, and listed that press release as Exhibit 99.1. The company’s Form 8-K was signed by Alicia C. Olivo, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, on July 20, 2026.
