About the company

JPMorgan Chase & Co.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is an American multinational banking institution headquartered in New York City and incorporated in Delaware. It is the largest bank in the United States, and the world's largest bank by market capitalization as of 2026. As the largest of the Big Four banks in America, the firm is considered systemically important by the Financial Stability Board. Its size and scale have often led to enhanced regulatory oversight as well as the development of an internal "Fortress Balance Sheet". JPMorgan Chase is located at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. It was created in 2000 by the merger of New York City banks J.P. Morgan & Co. and Chase Manhattan Company. Through its predecessors, the firm's early history can be traced to 1799, with the founding of what became the Bank of the Manhattan Company. J.P. Morgan & Co. was founded in 1871 by the American financier J. P. Morgan, who launched the House of Morgan on 23 Wall Street as a national purveyor of commercial, investment, and private banking services. Today, the firm is a major provider of investment banking services, through corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, sales and trading, and public offerings.

Market action

A concise summary of the latest filing, transaction, or market-moving item.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. reported that it held an investor presentation on July 14, 2026, to review its second-quarter 2026 earnings. The bank furnished the presentation materials as Exhibit 99 to a Form 8-K under Item 7.01, Regulation FD Disclosure. The filing does not report an insider purchase or sale, a securities issuance, a merger, a dividend action, or any other transaction involving share counts, prices, transaction codes, vesting terms, or ownership changes. Instead, the corporate action is the public release of earnings presentation slides used in connection with JPMorgan Chase’s quarterly results discussion with investors. JPMorgan Chase stated that the slides were also posted on the firm’s website and were furnished rather than filed. That distinction means the information is not treated as formally “filed” for liability purposes under Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and is not automatically incorporated by reference into the company’s Securities Act filings. The company also included standard cautionary language regarding forward-looking statements. JPMorgan Chase said such statements reflect management’s beliefs and expectations as of July 14, 2026, and are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially. The firm directed investors to risk factors discussed in its 2025 annual report and its first-quarter 2026 quarterly report. The report was signed on behalf of JPMorgan Chase by Elena Korablina, Managing Director and Firmwide Controller, identified as the company’s principal accounting officer, on July 14, 2026. The key significance of the filing is that JPMorgan Chase formally made its second-quarter 2026 earnings presentation materials available to the market under Regulation FD, supporting broad and simultaneous investor access to the information discussed in the presentation.
